SUKAJAN FACTORYでは、日本の職人とともに、一着からのビスポークスカジャンを制作しています。
デザイン、刺繍、生地、配色、リブ、ファスナー、裏地、サイズなど、一着を構成するさまざまな要素を、お客様のイメージに合わせて組み立てていきます。
単に既存のスカジャンへ刺繍を加えるのではなく、その一着が持つ背景や物語まで含めてデザインし、日本の職人技によって形にしていきます。
1950年代のヴィンテージスカジャンが持つ佇まいやディテールを再現することも、伝統的な要素を活かしながら現代的な一着へ再構築することも可能です。
At SUKAJAN FACTORY, we create one-of-a-kind bespoke sukajan in collaboration with skilled Japanese artisans.
From the design and embroidery to the fabric, color palette, ribbing, zipper, lining, and fit, each element is carefully considered and developed around the client’s vision.
Our work goes beyond simply adding embroidery to an existing jacket. We design each piece around the ideas, memories, and stories behind it, bringing them to life through Japanese craftsmanship.
We can recreate the character and details of vintage sukajan from the 1950s, or reinterpret traditional elements to create something entirely contemporary.

好きなモチーフ、場所、文化、旅の記憶、写真、ヴィンテージ資料などをもとに、一着のスカジャンとしてデザインを構築します。
完成されたデザインをお持ちでなくても問題ありません。イメージや物語から、スカジャンとして成立する構図へ落とし込むことができます。
Every bespoke commission begins with a conversation.
Personal motifs, places, cultures, travel memories, photographs, and vintage references can all become the starting point for a unique sukajan design.
You do not need to have a finished design. We can develop your ideas and stories into a composition that works naturally as a sukajan.
刺繍には、日本のスカジャン文化を支えてきた横振り刺繍を用います。
横振り刺繍は、職人がミシンを手で操りながら、線や面を描くように刺繍していく技法です。
コンピューター刺繍とは異なり、同じ図案であっても完全に同じ仕上がりにはなりません。
わずかな揺らぎや糸の重なり、立体感を含め、職人の手によって生まれる一点ごとの表情を大切にしています。
Our embroidery is created using Yokofuri, the traditional machine-embroidery technique closely associated with Japanese sukajan.
The artisan guides and controls the machine by hand, drawing with thread to create lines, surfaces, movement, and depth.
Unlike computerized embroidery, Yokofuri does not produce perfectly identical results every time. Subtle variations in line, thread layering, and texture give each piece its own character.

スカジャンは、刺繍だけで完成する服ではありません。
生地、縫製、刺繍、リブ、ファスナー。それぞれの要素が組み合わさることで、一着の表情が生まれます。
A bespoke commission can extend far beyond the embroidery itself.
Fabric, colors, contrasting sleeve panels, piping, pocket shapes, ribbing, zippers, lining, labels, sizing, and fit can all be considered as part of the design.
A sukajan is not defined by embroidery alone. Its character comes from the way the fabric, construction, embroidery, ribbing, hardware, and details work together as a whole.
SUKAJAN FACTORYでは、ヴィンテージスカジャンの研究を制作の基盤のひとつとしています。
1950年代のスカジャンに見られる図案、刺繍、シルエット、リブ、縫製などを参考に、当時の雰囲気を持つ一着を制作することができます。
一方で、過去のスタイルをそのまま再現するだけではなく、その伝統を現代の感性や着用環境に合わせて再解釈することも大切にしています。
伝統を受け継ぐことと、新しい表現を生み出すこと。その両方が私たちのビスポークです。
The study of vintage sukajan is an important foundation of our work.
By referencing original jackets from the 1950s, we can recreate period-inspired motifs, embroidery, silhouettes, ribbing, construction, and details.
At the same time, our aim is not simply to reproduce the past. Traditional elements can also be reinterpreted through a contemporary perspective to create a sukajan for today.
Tradition and reinterpretation.
Both are essential to our approach to bespoke sukajan.
01. CONTACT / INQUIRY
まずは制作したいスカジャンのイメージをお聞かせください。写真、ラフスケッチ、参考資料などがあればお送りください。
Tell us about the sukajan you would like to create. Photographs, sketches, reference images, vintage pieces, or even a simple idea can be useful starting points.
02. DESIGN & SPECIFICATION
モチーフ、構図、生地、刺繍、配色、ディテールなどを相談しながら、デザインと仕様を決めていきます。
Together, we develop the design and specifications, including motifs, composition, fabrics, embroidery, colors, and details.
03. SAMPLE / PROTOTYPE
必要に応じてサンプルを制作し、刺繍や仕様、全体のバランスを確認します。
When necessary, a sample or prototype can be produced to confirm the embroidery, specifications, and overall balance.
04. PRODUCTION
仕様確定後、日本の職人によって一着ずつ制作を進めます。
Once the specifications are finalized, production begins in Japan with the artisans involved in each process.
05. DELIVERY
完成後、国内・海外へ発送いたします。
Once completed, the finished jacket can be shipped within Japan or internationally.

No. A finished design is not required. We can develop a sukajan design from photographs, sketches, motifs, places, cultures, memories, or other references.
はい。図案を確認したうえで、横振り刺繍に適した線、構図、サイズなどに必要な調整を行います。
Yes. We can work from your artwork and, when necessary, adjust the composition, linework, and scale so that it translates naturally into Yokofuri embroidery.
ヴィンテージ資料を参考に、刺繍、素材、リブ、シルエット、縫製などを可能な範囲で再現できます。
当時とまったく同じ素材や部品が現存しない場合には、現代の素材や技術を用いて、その特徴を再現します。
We can reference original vintage pieces to reproduce period-inspired embroidery, materials, ribbing, silhouettes, construction, and details.
Where original materials or components are no longer available, we carefully select modern alternatives to recreate their character as closely as possible.
完全な手縫いではありません。横振り刺繍は、職人が刺繍ミシンを手で操作し、刺繍の方向や動きをコントロールしながら制作する技法です。
Not in the same sense as hand needle embroidery. Yokofuri is created on an embroidery machine, but the movement and direction of the stitching are manually controlled by the artisan.

Yes. We can propose fabrics such as silk, rayon, and acetate, along with colors suited to the design and your preferences.

Yes. Sizing and fit can be discussed according to the specifications of the commission.
デザインや仕様によって異なりますが、仕様確定後から2～3か月程度を目安としています。複雑な刺繍や特殊な仕様の場合には、さらにお時間をいただくことがあります。
Lead time varies according to the design and specifications, but bespoke production generally requires 2～3 months after the final specifications are confirmed. More complex embroidery or special materials may require additional time.
デザイン、刺繍量、生地、仕様などによって異なるため、内容を確認したうえでお見積りいたします。
Pricing varies depending on the design, amount and complexity of embroidery, materials, and specifications. A quotation will be provided after reviewing the details of your project.

Yes. In addition to private commissions, we welcome inquiries from brands, shops, artists, and other creative projects.
