日本の職人とともに、スカジャンの歴史と技術を受け継ぎながら、新しい一着を制作しています。横振り刺繍、ヴィンテージの研究、日本各地の素材や職人技を通して、スカジャンという文化を未来へつなぎます。
Working together with Japanese artisans, we create sukajan while carrying forward the history, techniques, and spirit behind the original souvenir jacket.
Through Yokofuri embroidery, vintage research, and Japanese materials and craftsmanship, we continue to explore what sukajan can become today.

SUKAJAN FACTORYは、スカジャンを単なる衣服ではなく、戦後日本の歴史、職人技、文化の交差から生まれた「記憶を宿すスーベニア」と捉えています。
ヴィンテージの研究、横振り刺繍、日本の職人との共創を通して、スカジャンが持つ歴史と技術を記録し、現代の一着へとつないでいきます。
過去をそのまま再現するのではなく、その背景にある文化や精神を理解し、次の時代へ残していくこと。それがSUKAJAN FACTORYの使命です。
SUKAJAN FACTORY sees the sukajan as more than a garment. It is a souvenir that carries memories of postwar Japan, craftsmanship, and the cultural exchange from which it was born.
Through vintage research, Yokofuri embroidery, and collaboration with Japanese artisans, we document and preserve the history and techniques of sukajan while bringing them into new creations for the present.
Our mission is not simply to reproduce the past, but to understand its culture and spirit, and carry them forward into the future.

SHIDA — FUTURE VINTAGE
Artisan Collaboration / Experimental Craft Project
志田焼の絵付け、天然藍染のシルク、手編みのリブなど、日本の伝統的な手仕事を一着に結びつけたプロジェクト。100年後に真の完成を迎える「未来のヴィンテージ」として設計されています。
A collaborative craft project bringing together Shida ware painting, naturally indigo-dyed silk, hand-knitted ribbing, and traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Designed as a “future vintage,” the piece is intended to reach its true completion 100 years from now.
HISTORICAL RESEARCH
SUKAJAN FACTORYでは、展示活動やヴィンテージ資料の研究を通して、スカジャンの歴史、背景、職人技を記録しています。
スカジャンが生まれた時代や文化をたどりながら、現存するヴィンテージ、パッチ、写真、資料などをもとに、その価値を再検証し、国内外へ発信しています。
Through exhibitions and historical research, SUKAJAN FACTORY explores and documents the history, cultural background, and craftsmanship of sukajan.
By studying original vintage jackets, patches, photographs, and archival materials, we continue to examine the era in which sukajan emerged and share its cultural significance with a wider audience.

1940年代後半から1950年代を中心に、歴史的・資料的価値を持つヴィンテージスカジャンやスーベニアアイテムを収集・研究・紹介しています。
当時の刺繍、素材、構造、背景にある物語を読み解きながら、その記録を次の世代へ残していきます。
ヴィンテージスカジャン、パッチ、写真、書籍、関連資料などの情報提供・資料提供・買取のご相談も歓迎しています。
A curated archive of vintage sukajan and souvenir pieces from the late 1940s and 1950s.
Through surviving garments, embroidery, materials, construction, and historical references, we study and document the craftsmanship and stories of the period.
We welcome contributions of information and historical materials, as well as inquiries regarding vintage pieces you may wish to part with.
